Bill Lampl ~ Executive Director

Bill Lampl has lived in Mill Valley since 1997. His 25 years of business experience include executive management, brand and licensing development, operations, sales, marketing, merchandising and product development and business strategy. Bill has also been an elementary, middle, and high school substitute teacher in Marin. Bill recently served for six years on the City of Mill Valley Library Board of Trustees, including Board President for two years. His commitment to our community includes having been a member of the following: VP Fundraising, Mill Valley Middle School PTSA Executive Board; Scholarship Director, Southern Marin Youth Football Board of Directors; Manager, Mill Valley Little League; Coach, Mt. Carmel CYO Basketball; Coach, Mill Valley Soccer Club; Executive Board Member, Tam High Foundation; and Member, Tam High Grants Committee. When he’s not working, Bill enjoys cooking, listening to music, adventure travel, and hiking with his family which includes his wife, Kathleen Clifford, and his two children (when they are home from college), Lauren and Benjamin.

Caitlin Weil Smith ~ Chair

Seeking strong public schools and a close-knit community, Caitlin and her family moved to Mill Valley in 2004. After a 10 year career working her way up through the ranks of merchandising and marketing (where her passion for planning and spreadsheets was honed), Caitlin decided to stay home with her kids as well as volunteer as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) where she found great purpose advocating for foster children. A strong supporter of our public school system, Caitlin has volunteered for numerous projects and activities at Edna Maguire Elementary. Caitlin graduated from the University of Washington, where her passion for college football was sown, with a BA in English. She and her husband Jed have three children: Quinn, Annabel and Lilah.

Cari Dauphinais ~ Vice Chair

Cari and her husband, Bill, have lived in Mill Valley since 2005. A native of Northern California, Cari has a degree in Political Science and Business Administration from UCLA.  Upon graduation, Cari worked in the financial services industry for Merrill Lynch and Salomon Smith Barney before deciding to return to school to earn her teaching credential. As an elementary school teacher in low-income classrooms, she was able to foster her desire to serve and advocate for young children and their families. With her two young boys at home, Cari left teaching and focused on volunteering within our local community as a C.A.S.A (Court Appointed Special Advocate), supporting abused and neglected children, and as a PTA President at Park School.

Becky Cover ~ Secretary

Becky and her husband Charley have two daughters in the Mill Valley School District, one at Tam Valley and one at MVMS. Becky was a teacher at Tam Valley School from 2007-2018. Prior to teaching, Becky worked in marketing and recruiting in San Francisco. Becky received her Bachelor of Arts from UC Davis and her Masters in Education from UC Santa Barbara. Both as a parent and a teacher, Becky is extremely appreciative of the unique enrichment programs provided by Kiddo!.

Anne Sapp ~ Treasurer

Anne has worked as an asset manager her entire career, including TIAA-CREF, Wells Fargo and Bankers Trust. During her career, she earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) distinction. Her sons are graduates of the MVSD and are currently attending college at Elon and Cal Poly. She has lived in Mill Valley for over 20 years. Anne has been attending finance committee meetings and shadowing former Kiddo! Treasurer Gretchen Boyle since January, 2018.

Mark Abramson ~ Tech Chair

Mark is CEO at PrintForm Corporation and Forward Thought, which specialize in software for digital workflow, industrial printing and complex global supply chains for high-growth companies. He is a veteran of several startups and has worked with companies in the Global 50 and NASA. He is an avid cyclist and a former President of USA Cycling and co-founder of Medicine of Cycling. He has a BS in Computer Science from Tufts University. He’s also a dad of 3 wonderful girls and collects antique woodworking machines.

Maureen Behrs ~ Elementary School Teacher Rep

Maureen moved to California with her family in 2001. She began her career in Mill Valley as a one to one aide at Tam Valley. She was first hired as s second grade teacher at Strawberry Point School, then, after two years there, she returned to Tam Valley where she taught first grade for ten years. She currently teaches first grade at Park School. Maureen is honored to serve on the KIDDO! board as a teacher representative. Her value for Arts’ Education is paramount to her teaching philosophy. Her own children have excelled in their careers due to their KIDDO! supported experiences in the Mill Valley School district. As a classroom teacher, Maureen has seen first hand the enriching environment KIDDO! creates. She never passes up an opportunity to say thank you or share her knowledge of all KIDDO! has done for the teachers and students in Mill Valley.

Jackie Broad ~ Past Chair

Jackie is a financial analyst, children’s book author, and education advocate. Jackie graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in Mathematical Economics and later received her MBA in Marketing from NYU’s Stern School of Business. Her early career in the retail and apparel industry, working for iconic brands such as Levi Strauss and Co. and Gap Inc., is where Jackie developed and honed her strategic planning, merchandising, data analysis, and reporting skills. Later, after starting her family, Jackie was inspired by her children’s antics to write and eventually launch the publishing company, Three Puppies Press, home to award winning picture books. Jackie’s interest in supporting education excellence for kids led to her role as an advisor for the Bay Area Discovery Museum’s Center for Childhood Creativity, a Math Instructor at Mathnasium and currently a Substitute Teacher in the Mill Valley School District. Since 2007, Jackie has been an active member of the Kiddo! board and is proud to be associated with an organization that has made such a positive impact on children and education for the past 30+ years. Jackie and her husband, Ken, have three children in the Mill Valley public schools.

Ted Chin ~ Audit Chair

A native of Marin County, Ted went to public schools for most of his life. He graduated with honors from U.C. Berkeley, and received his MBA from the Haas School of Business, the University of California Berkeley. After working in sales and trading at a major Investment Bank following college, Ted founded a registered investment advisory firm, where he works today. He is also on the advisory board of several small start-ups. Ted was exposed to art from a young age by his mother, a Professor of Art History at Dominican University, and is a strong advocate for art in the school curriculum .Ted and his wife, Jackie, live in Mill Valley. They have two children, who keep him very physically active.

Michelle Connolly ~ Events Chair

A California native, Michelle has a degree in Business Administration from CSUF.  She spent many years working in San Francisco for Macy’s and Gap Inc. in visual merchandising and management.  In 2003 she and her husband moved to Montreal, Quebec where her daughter Keira was born.  The family then moved to New Jersey where Michelle was active in the PTA and room mother of her daughters class.  In 2011 they  relocated back to Mill Valley where Keira finished kindergarten at Strawberry Point School.  Michelle is a Kiddo ambassador as well as an active volunteer in the classroom, art, library and playground choices.  She is also the Co-Chair of the Hospitality Committee, which is a great outlet for her love of cooking and entertaining.  She is honored to be a part of an organization that makes Mill Valley Schools a wonderful, enriching place for our children to grow up.

Bzur Haun ~ Development Chair

Bzur started playing the piano when he was eight years old (followed by saxophone, percussion, and voice). His love for music led him to study piano at Vanderbilt University – where he graduated with a Degree in Music as well as a second major in Organizational Development. Bzur moved to Mill Valley in 2007 with his wife Page just in time to welcome their first of three children. Bzur has worked as an executive in the high tech industry for over 15 years and is currently the CEO of Visage Mobile. He is also the owner of Beeline Bikes Northern California, a Kiddo! business partner. Bzur also serves on the board of the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University. You can often find Bzur volunteering for class activities, photographing events, and accompanying performances. This year he will be the Development Chair. Contact Bzur directly here.

Chris Hill ~ MVMS Teacher Rep

Chris teaches 6th grade science at MVMS  and previously taught science workshops throughout Marin County to 4th & 5th graders. She also illustrates children’s picture books and founded Mackie Mack, which sells stationery and clothing products with her own designs. She received her teaching credentials from Dominica University of CA and has a BA in psychology from Western University.

Jake Hobson ~ Endowment Chair

Jake leads major gifts for Tipping Point Community, a non-profit fighting poverty in the Bay Area.  Before joining Tipping Point in January 2014, Jake led Dartmouth College’s fundraising on the West Coast for more than six years.  He has more than 10 years experience working with non-profits, and before that worked in product management and business development in Bay Area software companies.  Jake is a graduate of Dartmouth College with a degree is Studio Art.  He is originally from Long Beach, CA but has been in the Bay Area for 18 years and in Mill Valley for almost 10 years and wouldn’t think of moving back to Southern California.  He has two children at Edna Maguire School and coaches them in both the Mill Valley Soccer Club and Mill Valley Little League.

Stéphanie Lorda Terry ~ Strawberry Point School Rep

Originally from France, Stéphanie moved to the Bay Area as a child where she attended Strawberry Point School and Mill Valley Middle School. After attending UCLA and law school in San Francisco, she returned to Strawberry. Since practicing law, Stéphanie has sat on the Board of Directors of Prevent Blindness California, served on the Alumni Council of San Francisco University High School and was the Bay Area UCLA Alumni Scholarship Chair for 12 years. When she is not spending time with her family, Stéphanie enjoys volunteering as a room mom in her daughter Evan’s classroom, and is a Kiddo! Rep as well as Executive Vice-President of the Strawberry Point School PTA. Contact Stéphanie directly here.

Lucinda Macdonell ~ Tam Valley School Rep

Lucinda is an Almonte resident. Born and raised in Northern California, Lucinda studied at California State University, Chico and has a Bachelor of Science in Business with a Marketing emphasis. Lucinda has worked in sales and marketing for over 20 years and now works for Oath, A Verizon Company, selling a house of more than 50 media and technology brands including HuffPost, Yahoo,, MAKERS and Tumblr. She and her husband, Mike Janover, have two sons who attend Tam Valley School. Lucinda was a Tam Valley Kindergarten class ambassador during the 2016/2017 year. Contact Lucinda directly here.

Gisella Mackay ~ Old Mill School Rep

Gisella moved to Mill Valley in 2010 after living in San Francisco and New York City. She quickly fell in love with Mill Valley, its beautiful surroundings and warm community. Gisella currently has 3 children, Ronan, Stina and Isla, and is passionate about providing quality education to California’s children despite deep budget constraints within the public school system. Gisella has served as a  Kiddo! Ambassador at Old Mill School, worked on the Measure E Campaign to ensure adequate funding for Mill Valley Schools K-8, represents Moms Demand Action/Everytown for Gun Safety in Mill Valley, is a Brownie troop leader for fourth grade and loves working in her children’s classrooms and library. She holds a B.A. in journalism from University of Colorado at Boulder and studied at the University of Alicante in Spain. Gisella is proud to represent Kiddo! as Old Mill’s Kiddo! rep, and appreciates all the support Kiddo! provides in the arts and classrooms to each and every student. Contact Gisella directly here.

Hallie Marshall ~ Investment Committee Chair

Hallie is a Vice President at Dodge & Cox, where she researches and analyzes large public companies looking for investment ideas for the firm’s mutual funds. She is a CFA charter holder, a Chartered Investment Counselor, and a shareholder of the firm. She received her MBA (with honors) from UC Berkeley and her AB (cum laude) from Princeton University. She is a member of the Mill Valley School District’s community financial advisory committee and has served on the investment committee for Kiddo!.

Christie Michaels ~ AGC Chair

Christie worked in banking several years after graduating from UNC and then moved to New York where she volunteered for Literacy Partners and the Humane Society of New York and pursued a Masters in Education at NYU. She also taught Spanish at a charter school in Queens. She served as President of the Southern Marin Mothers Group as well as Activity Director and in other roles for the past 8 years. She has also worked on the Old Mill School’s PTA as the Community Outreach Chair.

Libby Mitchell ~ Park School Rep

Libby currently serves as the Park School PTA President. Prior to starting her family, she spent her career in independent schools, both day and boarding. She has been a Director of Development, a History and English Teacher, a Field Hockey and Ice Hockey Coach, and most recently the Director of Admission and Financial Aid for an independent school in New York City.

Jennifer Nassiri ~ Business Chair

Jennifer received her B.A. in Womens Studies from the University Of Minnesota. For 15 years she served abused, addicted and homeless women and children, and co-founded a health and wellness program at Perspectives, a nationally-recognized human services agency in Minneapolis. Later Jennifer became a shiatsu practitioner and prenatal yoga instructor. Jennifer has two children, Ava and Samuel.

Lilly Oates ~ Communications Chair

Lilly moved from Boston after graduating from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. She worked in the art auction business with Sotheby’s and Butterfield & Butterfield for 7 years before turning to teaching. She received a Masters in early childhood development and a multiple subjects credential from Mills College. She then received a special education credential from San Francisco State University while working in Piedmont as a K-5 special education teacher for five years. She moved to Mill Valley in 2005 and started working at Park School as the reading specialist in 2007 and still works there today. She has been on the Mill Valley Soccer club board as a co-director of recreation soccer since 2016 and helped with the Measure E campaign as the MVMS Rep. She and her husband Erik have two children, Ethan and Kate.

Zoe Pinksa ~ Edna Maguire School Rep

Zoe served as the Edna Maguire Co-Rep during the 2017-18 school year, and has also served as room parent, classroom volunteer and on the PTA Nominating Committee at Edna. She has a BS in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Colorado and a degree in Interior Design from UC Berkeley and the Art Institute of Colorado. She is the principal designer and owner of Zoe Lee Design studio. She previously worked at Accenture as a business consultant and at Williams-Sonoma in inventory management.

Amanda Reeves ~ Arts Committee Chair

Amanda is a visual artist who maintains a studio practice in downtown Mill Valley. Born in England and raised in Canada, Amanda moved to Mill Valley with her husband and three children in 2012. She holds a BFA hons from OCAD University and prior to moving to the US she worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art Canada.  Amanda is passionate about access to arts education for all children

Maeve Rossington ~ MVMS School Rep

Maeve attended UC Berkeley for her BA and worked for Oracle in Customer Success/Sales for many years. She is currently a realtor with Paragon Real Estate Group covering SF and Marin. She served as the Co-Chair on the board of the Golden Gate Mothers Group and has volunteered on the MVMS Site Council and as the PTA Room Parent Coordinator at Edna Maguire.

Rachel Ruffalo ~ Strawberry Point School Rep

A native of Northern California, Rachel and her family moved to Mill Valley in 2011, after living in Southern California and Washington, DC. They quickly fell in love with the natural beauty of Marin, the warmth of the community, and the vibrant spirit of their school – Strawberry Point. Since then, Rachel has served as a room parent, classroom and library volunteer, a Kiddo! Ambassador, and is now honored to represent Strawberry Point on the Kiddo! board. Rachel brings more than 20 years of experience working in or for California public schools. She has served as a high school history teacher, assistant principal, charter school developer, and now as an educational consultant to schools and educational organizations. She is passionate about providing all students with a high quality and enriching education. Rachel earned a B.A. in history from Stanford and master’s degrees in education from Harvard and Stanford. Rachel enjoys hiking local trails and traveling to national parks with her husband, Robb, and their three children — Maria (11), Wilson (9), and Sam (7). Contact Rachel directly here.

Shana Stewart ~ Elementary School Teacher Rep

Shana is in her 19th year of teaching and has been a 1st grade teacher at Edna Maguire for 17 years. She has a 4th grader, Brady, and a 1st grader, Connor currently attending Edna Maguire. She feels so fortunate to be a teacher AND parent in the Mill Valley school district.

Elaine Wilkinson ~ School Rep Chair

Originally from the UK, Elaine has lived all over the world, but she and her family have called Mill Valley home since 2013. She has three children – a fifth grader, an eighth grader and a freshman in college. Elaine worked in publishing as a Commercial Director in London for many years on magazines such asElle and Harpers Bazaar before she moved to Switzerland and started teaching. As an ESL teacher, Elaine worked in universities and schools in Switzerland and Canada, teaching children and adults of all ages and abilities. She also started her role in Switzerland as a Senior Examiner within the International Baccalaureate program, which she has continued with since. Elaine has been fully immersed into the world of Kiddo! for three years, having co-chaired two Kiddo! Galas and having been the Mill Valley Middle School Kiddo! Rep for two years. She currently works as the Executive Director at the Tam High Foundation.
