Kindergartners start out their careers as budding artists with weekly music classes, bi-weekly small group art class, and a twenty-week dance unit.
First graders continue with weekly art and music classes. And, building on a strong foundation in reading and writing, students start to play with language. Through California Poets in the Schools, a community-based poetry education program operating since 1964, tomorrow’s “laureates” will make their first poems.
Music and art classes continue for second graders, who now get their first opportunity to shine on the school stage with a wonderful performing arts program.
